Hi Ed, I currently live you here, although heading back to the UK soon. There are a few firms in Squamish, and 1 full time in Whistler. No tree work in Whistler from december to march though. There are tons of tree firms in vancouver though. The work is good, but almost exclusivly conifers. Good luck.

No worries. My only other advise would be to be conservative in your estimation of your skills to a possible employer and let them figure out where you are at. The work is very different to the uk in alot of ways. Watch some of Reg's videos, that will show you a good range of the work out here.
