Shiny new Log Splitter!

Recommended Posts

Update on the performance of the splitter! Had it going for a few hours yesterday and minus one loose lock nut performed flawlessly. Seriously impressed with its power; rated at 11 ton but regardless of ratings, this thing can split! No wood phased it! Subaru engine (I actually bothered to follow the run-in procedure of 10 mins 2500rpm no load, same 3000rpm, same 3600rpm, and then built the load up) is sweet as a nut and pretty quiet actually - good on fuel too.

Moving the thing around by oneself is a killer - 200 kg machine; but rather that than a weak construction.

So far so very good - cheers Balfor... :001_smile:
