Any advice on how to change the fuel filter on a 2007 Ranger??? Last guy to do it ended up damaging the diaphragm inside the housing. Someone else mentioned taking the fuel lines off the top. I have downloaded to workshop manual but it does not mention fuel filter at all!!

Hi,

Remove the 2 pipes.

Remove the 2 bolts

Unplug the multi plug

Hold the alloy housing gently in vice (gently it won't need much.

Undo the water sensor out the bottom of the filter (mole grips)

Filter strap / chain wrench / stillys / pure muscle undo the filter

Fit water sensor in bottom of new filter and fill the new filter with diesel and screw it back onto housing

Plug it back in, bolt it up, reattach pipes

Away ya go :thumbup1:

Yeah if you fill the new filter full of derv, once you fit it up should only need a couple of gentle primes. Don't go mad on the little primer because they are rarely used they go a bit weak over time last thing it needs is to be woken from a deep sleep by you pumping the living be jebus out of it.
