I was trying to buy PS3 full chisel, One of the chains has a double raker.

Can someone give me a positive ID on these 2 Stihl chains.

3/8"P 1.3, what is the benefit of the double thickness raker?

Thanks H-A

Top one is Picco Super(PS) the lower is PS3.

The guard drive link (or what ever Stihl calls it) , effectively reduces the raker depth , around the bar tip , and is designed to reduce kick back.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense.

PS3 has an extra raker that sticks out on the tip of the bar

Good design or over designed?
