Ah, it was the post I quoted too, which you later quoted in a different thread. My post, on it's own, seems depressingly apathetic. It was meant as a satirical reply to the deleted post.

 

My hostility was out of order in the other thread Matt, it felt petty at the time, but out of context I get your point. Apologies.

Your satirical reply to the deleted post on this thread was a bit thought provoking - I pondered the pointlessness of everything for an entire dog walk in the moonlight.

 

On reading the other thread, it seemed like attempting to raise your kids safely is probably the only thing that really worth doing with your life.

 

Using your quote seemed at good way of making this point, but in hindsight is was a bit lame. I can see why leaving your name on it caused you offence - it wasn't meant to be petty point scoring, but I agree it comes over that way.

 

I do indeed suffer with a lifelong character flaw, in that I really struggle to grow up. On a positive note, It was far worse when I was younger.

 

Anyway, this has all got too confusing now, so i'm going to take the advise of a certaing 1980's kids tv show and...

 

Switch-off-my-television-set-and-go-do-something-less-boring-instead
