Hi all,

I'm in the process of pricing a job. The work requires stop & go boards for approximately 3 hours at the most. The road is single carriageway with a 30mph speed limit. I'm going to carry out the work on a sunday due the nature of the site. I have the chapter 8 qualification, my question is do I need to inform the L/A of the works, Thanks

Mate, you probably need to re-visit your course notes and have a look at your LA highways website!

Hope you're not in Manchester, otherwise I think you'll need a permit (You do for lights) and it'll cost you four hundred quid plus VAT. Last time we had the need, even the TO suggested doing it on sunday and pleading ignorance.
