Massey 390 clutch

Just bought a 390 and need to do the clutch.

Are they any snags to watch out for or is it relatively straightforward?

Obviously have to remove the guarding and loader frame, and I'm guessing I will lose the aircon gas.

I'm making a splitting rail to make it easier.

Most tractors are relatively straight forward if you just stop, step back and think.

As an ag engineer with experience mainly in the red i can vouch for how realtively straight forward they are to other colours. Some of the 300 series had a quick release coupling for the refrigerant system, however these are usually siezed solid. Check pto splines and all seals while in there, make a 'starting handle' to go on pto shaft at rear for assistance in aligning splines. Grease splines on gearbox and dont forget to block the front axle.
