Hi All

Planning on getting the ticket for operating the forwarder. Anyone been through the test lately? any advice on what the assessor might be looking for and common things that one could be marked down would be appreciated.

Cheers

i did base machine\forwarder trailer assessment 2 weeks ago. questions are all in the assessment schedule ,assessor was very practical and no problem with answers in my own words. i noticed in schedule, grab is supposed to fully enclose logs, had to remind myself a bit, takes a good bit longer to unload. also remove keys when leaving machine.

Don't be tempted to load above the headboard but ensure a good load for the machine and conditions.

Who's doing it for you County? I'm thinking of getting machine tickets this year

Sat it today and all went fine. I got it done by Donald Maclean and would recommend him.

Was under £250 for the assessment
