Climbing rope advise

CONIFERS they just ruin your rope. Get all dirty,sappy ect so don't go spending£120 on some nice rope and use it doing loads of conifer work. Look on e-bay and keep your eye out for some. Not sure if many have a separate rope for there conie jobs but I do and know of just a couple of others. Only a bit of advise.

I climb day to day on 11mm Yale blaze, with a hitch climber. Very light and your hands get used to it. Works great with a pantin too. My personal climb one is 11mm velocity, which is way nicer than blaze.

 

When my work line retires I'll be trying blue tongue.

 

Good call there Joe,looks like a lot are going to give the"BLUE TONGUE" a go. I'll stick to "YALE LIME LITE" don't like to follow the crowd. happy Xmas anyway Joe.

Ya it's a good idea and then when done on the conies and it's still ok keep it for a bit of light rigging work. Kit is expensive so get good use out of it.

Try some Samson vortex from Treeworker.co.uk give them a call. It's a 12.7mm rope I'm sure?

Yale lime lite is awesome rope and exactly the same as blue tongue, just a different colour!
