Cheap bars and chains

Almost (the real pitch is .366, not a true 3/8" or .375) - but then the 14" (called) bars are a bit less than 13"...:001_smile:

I just measured, and you're it seems you get short changed on the Stihl bar lengths. The so called "14" actually only extends 12 1/4 inches from the spikes, three inches shorter than the so called 16" bar on my electric saw.

 

Anyway after using the saw today I'm reminded that there's not much life left in the current chain. I've ordered the cheap bar/chain combo and I'll see how I get on with it.
