Help with tree planting pricing please

Depends on how well you want to plant it. You could dig a hole and bang it in, in 15 minutes or you could take your time do a nice job.

 

Thats just it. I would have thought I'd have to allow at least 1 hour maybe even 2 to do it carefully and steady away. So would it be fair to say I would plant 5-6 in 1 day. So we'd be looking at 2 1/2 days but call it 3 to be on the safe side. Or am I being too safe there. Its a good few hundred quid more!!

It would depend on how big the pots are and how easy the digging is. If you can get a trailer up to the pits with the kit trees and perhaps mulch.

 

Like I said 2 of us planted 4 70l trees in a couple of hours, but the digging was good and the tea was flowing

I'm guessing the Oak and Poplar would be heavy standard (ish) size. For estimating purposes I'd normally allow around £40 per tree for labour and materials, that would include mulch and double staking, but not the tree, it also wouldn't include carrying them up a big hill.

 

It's only worth installing watering systems if someone is going to water them.
