tree joke

Two tall trees, a birch and a beech, are

growing in the woods. A small tree begins to grow between them,

and the beech says to the birch, "Is that a son of a beech or a

son of a birch?"

The birch says he cannot tell.

Just then a woodpecker lands on the sapling.

The birch says, "Woodpecker, you are a tree

expert. Can you tell if that is a son of a beech or a son of a

birch?"

The woodpecker takes a taste of the small tree. He replies, "It

is neither a son of a beech nor a son of a birch. It is, however,

the best piece of ash I have ever put my pecker in."

On the subject of jokes........Two southerners - businessmen in London - were sitting down for a break in their soon-to-be new store.

As yet, the store wasn't ready, with only a few shelves set up. One said to the other, 'I bet any minute now some thick tourist is going to walk by, put his face to the window and ask what we're selling.'

No sooner were the words out of his mouth when, sure enough, a curious Yorkshireman walked to the window, had a peek, and in a broad Yorkshire accent asked 'What's tha sellin ere?'

One of the men replied sarcastically, 'We're selling arse-holes.'

Without skipping a beat, the Yorkshireman said, 'Tha's doing well ... Only two left!'

Southerners - should not mess with Yorkshiremen.

Sent to me by my best man.....yep, a Yorkshireman.
