Had my van broken into today, amongst other things a 261 was taken. The offenders were driving a silver vow Passat newish model with a stolen number plate on the car. They also stole a long reach hedge cutter from another company working just down the road from us. Police say they have had 8 thefts reported to them with same vehicle involved in two hours. Beware everyone local they are on the prowl..

They did my van whilst we were cutting logs up around corner, they did another truck outside gregge then js lee boys got robbed of a long reach hedge cutter further along the estate. Js lee boys went for them with a rake and they just laughed and drove off with hedge cutter.

We've got them on cctv so have next door but they are driving with false plates. Got some nerve the new lad was less than ten mtrs away when they did it. Worst of all they spilt my coffee all over the seat in van.

Lucky enough they didn't take my climbing kit which was on top of saw in kit bag.

It was a newish shape Passat with a y reg plate on it silver in colour, two guys mid twenties big but scruffy. Js lee boys said they had an accent, not local.

Thanks for the replys, been a bit of a nightmare lately had my house burgled two weeks ago now van. All I can say is be careful out there everybody, too many people looking for a quick buck with no cares about taking someone's living.
