Hi, what is involved in a brush cutter service?? As far as I can see it's a case of filters and plugs? I've been told it will cost me £50 quid!!! Is this the going rate and what else do I get for my money?? Seems a little steep to me???

Different place charge different rates !

We charge £35 +vat

What you get

Washed/cleaned

Air filter changes (foam filter washed)

Carb' removed & cleaned if needed

Fuel filter chanted if needed

NB: grease gearbox head (should be done every 8-10hrs)

Replace pull cord if needed

Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!

Thanks for that, I'll have a go at that pver the weekend. I Can get a plug, fuel and air filter locally for £8 do I'll see how long it takes and see if it's worth doing myself next time or to pay to have it done!

I charge £50 inc vat and do pretty much the same as Wefixit.

Its worth mentioning that we also remove the 2 line head (if fitted) and clean out between it and the gearbox. Remove all old cord and rewind with new (as long as the head is in good order) I am sure wefixit do that too.

Your right!

We remove any material wrapped round the head and shaft but we don't rewind the head spool unless requested as a lot of our customers use different types of cord ( square, star, round, nylsaw or even bio cord)
