Hiya guys,

I’m finding increasingly difficult to establish good communication between operator and grounds-man while using the MEWP.

Does anyone out there use helmets with 2-way radio systems fitted? If so what do you recommend? Blue-tooth would be another good option so I can hear the dog and bone.

Cheers chaps.

blue tooth john, all the way, fantastic. you wont know how you worked without them before. one of mine has packed in. i have contacted norman at the address below. they are peltor headsets. 180quid a piece. then i fitted them to stein hats, but if you are on budget you can put them on stihl hats. used 2 way radio for the same reson as you john, was a while ago when i worked for LA, we found we knew where every taxi was going and how nice the girls looked on the routes they were travelling. the radios picked up everything.

have phoned someone with a bluetooth set and whilst he was driving a bobcat the whole conversation was very clear
