My clutch drive cable snapped and i have just got round to putting another one one, real bloody pain with that effin roller in the way.

But in doing so the spring that holds the blade belt under tension has come off and for the life off me I cant get it back on as I just cannot get my hand into the machine. I really do need to remove the roller now. My question is how do you remove the roller is it easy or have I got to totally dismantle the machine.

Appreciate any help.

You dont need to remove the roller, just take the belt off at the engine pulley, refit the spring with long nose pliers and then refit the belt to tension the spring.
