Anyone no were i can get a large mount stihl guide bar to fit sd 123 .Needs to match chains i have 84 dl 063 3/8. Only one i can find is 3003 mount.Bar i have is a solid nose, want to change to sprocket type. Thanks

3003 bar mounts are 12mm, aren't they? I thought for 14MM you would need to go with a 3002 bar mount. And then you are stuck with 404 tips from the factory if you go new. I think the 3002 in 21"(AKA 22") has a factory 3/8 option. It might work with minimal fussing.

I think green is the smaller tip for easier and safer bore cutting. 3003, at least in large mount, is 12mm. 3002 is 14mm. I can not say if the fit is great as I haven't tried it myself.

Your bar mount (D033) is a "D" size tail in the Oregon system, so it sounds like what you need is an adaptor that allows you to use either a 12mm D025 (Stihl 3003) 25" called bar, or a 9mm large Husky mount (D009) 24" called bar. Both are availiable in 84dl .063 - but the D009 one likely will have to be ordered.

The oiler holes usually fit between the different "D" mount bars - not really sure in this case though.

ive been down this road several times the 123 ,133;143 PS-9010 DCS-9010 are defianetly DO33 mounts 14mm studs the DOO9 mount is 9mm studs

you can buy a new do33 mount bar from dolmar but again they dont sell a sprocket nosed bar in that mount only solid nose bars

with the 9010 you can put the smaller bar studs in and then you can use D009 BARS but i have'nt heard it done on the sachs dolmar

you have several options

1. use the windsor /sandvik DM ROLLTOP BAR 24''

2 .get a cannon bar or GB bar in 24''

3. get a stihl large mount bar and alter the oil hole

4. new old stock sachs dolmar bar 24''

5.ebay usa have several sachs dolmar 28'' bars for sale

Oopps - an adaptor would of course work the other way - you would have to grind the slot in the bar wider! :blushing:

As it looks in the IPL, the bar bolts on that saw should be easy to reduce in size to take bars with a smaller slot than 14mm - but how much smaller is impossible to judge by that illustration....
