is this legislation definatly going to come in?

which ever political party rubber stamps it will surley be signing thier own death warrant.

personally i can't see it happening as the effect will be disasterous on so many people

The problem is the people with the power to make decisions are the rich the people who get mugged off are the working class.

They make rules that make them richer and us poorer this country does not care about its people it only cares about how much money it can take from you.

Most cap citys I guess.Just another tax imo,i'm annoyed about how they kept this quiet, aynone know how much it will cost an older vehicle to drive in London, I heard £200 a day for 3.5 tonners and over, this can't be right can it?

They have a compliance check tool, so you can see how this affects your vehicle. My landrover is ok now, but it gets tighter in 2 years time.

Personally, I don't plan to visit London ever again, let alone drive through it, but what worries me is that other UK city authorities might dream up their own schemes. Nottingham, for example, is run by one of the most grasping councils there is. They plan to tax employees who benefit from a city centre car parking space, they liked the congestion charge, and want to introduce their own, so they're going to love this one. If this spreads to all UK cities...

And whoever mentioned about co2 produced when making new vehicles, you are right. A lot of this legislation plays straight into the hands of the car industry.
