Track tensioning ram

I have a problem with the hydraulic ram that tensions the tracks. The track came loose on site and the lads tried pumping the ram with grease. However unbeknown the bearing on the wheel had collapsed and it looks like they've pumped the ram past the point that it's should go, now I can't release the tension on the track to get it off and sort the problem, can't get to the problem for the track being in the way. Anyone any ideas?
