hi all does 2 stroke oil go bad ? got a large can ages ago but saw is running like crap, I know fuel only lasts about a month but not sure about the oil, no matter what I do the engine either races or dies, done all the carb settings etc BUT it is a cheapy saw and needs a 25:1 mixture. thought I might try it on aspen as I only use it at home for occasional firewood cutting and yes there is still room in the refuse binwhich is being collected tomorrow

I use some in the scooter that I've had over 4 years and no problem with that. Does it smoke a lot on 25:1 ? I have a cheap Chinese top handle that says 25:1 but it doesn't get it. 40:1 and it still smokes whereas my Husqvarna on Aspen is fume free.

Run it on quality oil mixed at 50-1, The quality of oils has advanced since your saw was built, 50-1 wont do it any harm at all. If your using quality oil everything should be run at 50-1 no matter what it says the mix should be.

Hi,

As Ray1 rightly says high quality oil is the way forward "quality not quantity!"

Aspen2 is ok for all fuel oil mixes in hand held machinery.

Please call me on 07568108953 for more information.

Kind regards

Eddie
