Key ring with a colorful differences

well today I thought i would have a go at making a ring that i saw on being made on a you tube video it was made of coloring pencils, so after i had finished making that i made a key ring from the left over pencils

 

first here is the ring

I was thinking teh same thing haven seen the video but i wondered if it would fall apart... seems not :)

I like the ferules you have on the keyring, where did you find them?

Im also trying to find where i can get the metal settings that i have seen used to make wooden rings. they are like 2 sides of a ring, screw together with a 'ring' of wood between them. anyone got any ideas?
