Laws like this would help weed out the cowboy element of the UK arb industry, this is the kind of thing the AA should be pushing for imo..

And imo it would make our proffesion look a tad more proffesional to the general public, rather than looking down on us as if we are only one step above a gardener, and how dare we charge such a amount for merely cutting down a tree.

and i'd say it would cut down on time wasted, visiting customers who can't make there mind up if to really have the tree taken down or not , but they'll get a price anyway, wasting your precious time

Lee, I admit i've only scan read it but it looks like our existing conservation and TPO legislation. Sorry if i've missed something.

 

I like the reference to applying for permission to 'injure' a tree. Very accurate and emotive use of words.

Aussie you can cut down or trim what you like over here, unhless the tree has a preservation order or the tree is situated in a older part of town know as a conservation area.
