Due to increased stock of timber from last winters storm damage we are looking at ways of increasing log production.

Any recommendations for log splitters that'll cope well with large ringed timber some gnarly eucalyptus etc. ideally capable of splitting 12" x 24" diameter rings?

We have vertical 10 ton petrol (Fuelwood) splitter plus tractor hydraulic (Browns) guillotine cordwood splitter.

We went for the 18 ton PTO Krpan. So far so good. Appears to be built like tank and has not failed to split all that has been put under it. Also available with a winch which has proved handy.
