life of bandsaw wheels before re-grinding/reprofiling

Was looking at a Baker mill today, alledgely only about 2000 hrs, it has been cutting clean Sitka Spruce.

BUT!

The origional bandwheels, prob for an 1&1/2 wide blade are away for reprofiling?

So will this give me any indication of what actual hrs are on the Mill.

How often do 1 1/2 or 1 1/4 crowned wheels need re-profiling.

It was running a 2" blade and I watched it cutting 100%, in so far as I am capable of being aware.

Clyde at Baker sawmills allowed about once per year in commercial production= 1700 hrs.

Hmmm,

just need to source a Genny.
