Dear one and all,

I hope you can help...I have recently taken to try and get some private work. I have taken out insurance, and some of the work seems to be getting bigger as a result. However, I have been trading almost a year...and already been stung.

I had a job which had been estimate for a 25-30% reduction of a oak tree, among other things. The estimate was accepted, and booked in. We turned up to site ready to crack on, I met the client, only be ask to take it back, by what amount to a 50% reduction. Thankfully, I have the paper trail to cover my arse.

It has me thinking, about what sort of 'small print' I need/should be including in my paper work. The company I subcontract as a climber for quote the standards of works.

So could I ask, short of saying work is weather dependant and can be postponed at short notice, what other small print, should be included in the estimate and confirmation of works to be carried out.

cheers L :001_smile::001_smile:
