If replanting is a condition when felling a TPO tree is the replacement tree automatically then a TPO tree? in perpetuity?

Can you safely replant the same species near the same spot if the predecessor succumbed to a fungus?

Will a T.O. impose the replanting condition if the location is a crazy place to plant a tree? - The original TPO tree was there before all this stuff was built/excavated around it. Couldn't happen now

The replacement tree will be covered by the

TPO unless the Order is revoked.

Normally the replacement tree species will be decided by negotiationwith the TO. the council could require the same species i.e. if the replacement tree formed part of an existing avenue.

Yes the council could require the replacement tree to be planted in a crazy place. I was once required to plant a replacement tree in the hollow stump of the removed tree and that was by the Planning Inspector after I appealed.

Can I ask who's responsibility this would be?

If you (as the tree surgeon) requested for the application for work, would you be responsible for the replant after the work?

As oppose to that if the client requests you to carry out the removal of the tree ONLY, do you hold any responsibility to re-plant?

the owner of the tree is the one responsible for the application for any work to be done, and also responsible that it is done, whatever is granted.
