In a word, no. I’d want to know why the highways authority and the planning department are not talking to one another. Sounds to me there is a communication thing going on and should the brown stuff hit the fan, they might be looking for an escape-goat (which could be you!) I’d wait till your client has two letters, from both parties confirming they’re bith singing from the same hym sheet.

Right, from what I can gather, there seems to be a little history between the council and highways, they have had site meetings and the highways man has stood with his back to the council man!!!!!!!!! Pathetic I know, I want to do the job, but as said don't want to be the "scape goat".

The trees in my opinion (12 years+ in the trade) need to come down, I wonder if this can be done on the dead, dying or DANGEROUS claus ????

Personally I'm with highways on this one, as I said they have run it past their legal team and they too reckon they trump the council decision.

What a waste of time and money!!!!!!!11
