I found this forum through a google search as I have been plagued with the 'update java' screen since last Thursday on AOL so can assure you it is not due to Arbtalk. I realised that by clicking on it I may have infected my computer so did a system restore to before that point plus a virus scan. When it has appeared since I have used the back button to return to AOL. If you look at the url above it is a site only registered that day by a make-anonymous site in Panama. It does not appear on the AOL mail home screen but the next one (list of emails) or an email opened. I concluded this is because there is an advert screen to the right which changes every few seconds and it comes from there. I phoned AOL mail and tried to explain but such an occurrence seemed to be beyond the comprehension of the person on the other end so I am as annoyed as you are felix.

In my experience, trying to make yourself understood on AOL help lines is an utter waste of time.
