Got hi flex that are dieing at the mo, had the hi vis yellow stretchies before but got them too small so they soon popped. Every pair of trousers iv had goes at the crotch- and yes I always wear braces so I'm not wearing them too low! What are people's recommendation? Anyone tried the new stien kriegers? Thinking about stretchies again but their a bit warm in the summer- oh and I much prefer type Cs for climbing. Cheers

Choice between the kriegers and pfanner for me. I have both currently and alternate between them. The pfanners I think have more of a tailored/finished feel to them if that makes sense. The Kriegers are defintly the lighter of the 2, and have a very hard wearing front leg material. Both good trousers

I have bought stein kriegers on recommendation but got them for £150....I know good deal last pair.......Love'em slighty lighter than hiflex and not so hot.... IMO

If you had to pick between the 2? For all round use and with the warmer weather on its way? Thanks as well that was a swift reply!

Me personally really like hiflex...like the stein ones more my choice in the warmer weather,

hope that helps

hmmm....if money didn't come into it...probably the pfanners, based more on fit than anything else to be honest, and thats really down to my own personal frame. Someone else could likely find the opposite better fitting. Best bet is to get somewhere and try them both on if you can

Been using sip freedoms for 12 months or so now and recon they may do another 6 months with no major repairs.

I have always worn type 'a' trousers for climbing so having the addition protection up to knee height I thought I'd find them heavier and too bulky but you hardly notice it they are so light. And I do quite like having the added layer of security.

Nice and flexible with a fairly tailored fit, but still loose around the legs (I hate the ones that look like leggings!) they are pretty hard wearing and I've had no seems split and no major rips, though I'm pretty good at sewing up the little nicks before they get too big.

The resent deluge of wet weather has forced me to buy a second pair of trousers so I can rotate and always have a dry pair and I brought these again with no hesitation.

Wouldn't buy a pair of sips after an ex colleague had a bad experience with a pair. Steve when you say pfanner is that the newer arborist ones(red or grey) or the stretchies? Only their just called stretch airs for some reason
