A fine day for a fir fell !

well after watching loads of reg's inspiring videos of tall firs and getting rather jelous of the dizzy heights he does i finally got my little taste of life up a fir (ok granted not quite the height but the best ive been up in sussex for a while )

 

had 4 trees in total , easy stuff really just a newish gate and stock fence to try and avoid but overall a thouroughly enjoyable day , all wood was stacked at owners request , 4 big poles being kept to make a new log store .

 

really gives me the bug to get up higher , i really enjoy doing these every now again , makes a nice change from the usual slimy sycamore reductions

 

2 lads on the ground were busy little ants chipping and dragging and i dont think i touched a branch all day ! good on you lads although had to laugh that one of them wasnt strong enough to open my combi can so he had to send it up the tree i never realised how heavy a full stihl combi can would be at 80 ft ha

yeh i was clearing a maccy ,it was that huge one on the forcourt of the esso garage near the hospital , ive gota go back and fell it , this job was a week ago its taken me till now to get the pictures of the sodding phone although i cant seem to upload the ones i wanted to something to do with it being a compressed file ?? .. yeh sorry bout this week its a nightmare im just at my mums as we speak so i call you in the morn if thats ok , did you get any interesting call outs ?

I got the call for the maccy at the petrol station too haha. The calls will no doubt start again in the morning. No worries bud just let us have another date soon as you can like .

ive been that tree 3 times now clearing it up , and all 3 times i dont know how they have been so lucky with it not smashing up the the vent pipes and filling points ,

Do they pay quickly? The things as pointless as the Leylandii at the langney esso! The whole thing didn't come over then
