Hello.

Due to a new saw purchase this coming weekend. I need to start thinking about selling a saw to help pay for it.

The trouble is, I don't know what it's worth. Iv looked on eBay for a price guide but they seem to either be dreamers asking way to much, or old battered saws.

The saw in question is my old stihl 039.

Pretty good overall condition and has a muffler mod done.

It also has a pretty new sugihara 16" bar on it.

There's pics in a thread I did called 'my muffler mod'

Any advise on how much to ask for it would be great.

Also, I'm thinking about selling it on eBay. The thing I'm concerned about is although it runs spot on, what if I sell it on eBay and the buyer complains that it's broken (due to him using wrong fuel or whatever)? Where does that leave me? How can I prove it was A1 when I sent it?

Sorry for all the questions, any help appreciated!

Thanks for the reply.

Although I'm not really in a hurry to sell it, I just thought selling as collection only would narrow the market a lot!?

Anyone got an idea of what it could be worth?
