Treehog Husk boots?

As I'm only just coming back into all this after a long lay up... I need to get some bits together, most of it is now either purchased or at least I know where I'm heading to get the necessary.

One of the main things I need, are some boots. I don't want top of the range, as I'm not like you pro's that will be using them all the time. In fact, as long as they don't tear my feet apart with blisters, and add protection, then I'll be quite happy. ideally, the boots will (A) protect me, (B) not be too uncomfortable, and © be cheap.

looking through the pages of chainsaw boots on the internet, I keep seeing the Treehog Husk boots and wondered if anyone has any experience with them? Obviously the welly type boots are cheaper, but I don't think even with my near monkey climbing skills, they would work at all.

A chap that works for has the waterproof ones and shredded his feet for about 2-3 weeks. Now the inner liner has torn out after approx 3 months.

As a point of information, the waterproof Treehog boot would actually be the Snout, not the Tusk.

Of course, neither boot should behave as you've described. Although the Tusk and Snout boots are aimed at the budget conscious user, they are still robust boots that are built for work. When you manufacture thousands of boots there is always the chance that the occasional pair will have defects that can affect the useful life of the boot. Our policy – in line with all reputable manufacturers - is to inspect under warranty any boots that show defects.

I'd be interested in investigating this a little further, whether you returned the boots and what happened.
