The green Scimitar went for £2,850!

 

Mine is a 1938 Austin 16 which aint no dragster! But worth a tad more than the green thing.

 

Hey Kev! Have you got a number for your neighbour with the yank barge? That 6.6litre V8 wouldn't be a bad lump to fit in mine! And yes, mine can tow a chipper!

I remember seeing an absolute beauty of an Austin 16 with 3.8 Jag running gear, slightly wider rear arches and a black paint job many years ago in something like Custom Car or Street Machine. :thumbup1:

Mine had the original chassis boxed off, a Jag IRS fitted (420g), Rover V8 and BW35, narrowed I beam with discs, arches lowered to suite modern tyre sizes and widened rears.

 

The original builder did it black and plum then later changed it to silver. It won a prize in the 70s and it is rare to have the original make in the log book too.
