put a thread on a few weeks ago about the possibility of imported cordwood ,for me to work out some prices what would people pay for mixed hardwoods per tonne to be collected at dockside with wood FSC certified , 8-35cm as i am hearing hardwood cord price is going through the roof so i need some idea of what we would pay as a fair price , remember its to be artic lorry or 8 wheeler load collected.

hi markus i would be willing to pay around £40 a ton maybe more depending on how close the dock is to me. My unit is in caerphilly. i would have 2 arctics a month off you. pm me details and your number if possible.

Markus, I have been looking into this recently, using my contacts in The Baltics I priced bringing in a bulk shipment of birch pulp, unfortunately the figures do not stack up and I doubt that they will in the next few years, bear in mind their prices are also rising.
