palax combi m11 vs palax 600

We've had various palax's over the years and for all the size of log a combo/600 can do you can easily work log deck with 4m odd lengths as the travel of "swing" isn't that great.

 

My Japa works in the same way, but if you have say a 250mm log then the log has to move 250mm + the gap between the blade and the blade side of the log, say 30mm approx. Moving one end of a log forward moves the other end in the opposite direction. Perhaps the design of my deck is not as good.

 

Interested in how you got on with this Jim, not spoken to him myself but he sounds a decent bloke.
