i think it would deserve more than 1 beer tbh there is more to splicing than folk think

You're right, there is more to splicing than there appears to be - I've been splicing for several years now since Mr Knott showed me how. On this occasion, time pressures rob me of trial and error system I commonly employ when starting on a new rope.

 

TBH the bakery products are probably more expensive than a beer!

its a harder rope physically to splice than say blaze or velocity but not to bad.

just pull the parallel core out at mark 2 on the core and cut them off . then do a standard double braid splice .
