I just reworked one myself as a matter of fact ,domed piston ,19 thou head deck clearence ,reworked ports and of course the muffler .It turned out real well .

 

Now then that pipe gizmo hanging out a muffler might look real spiffy but it's been proven is does nothing to enhance power .Makes them loud though .

No need to worry about that, I don't even believe the gospels to be gospel...

 

The thread I started was to try and gather information and following advise gained from this and other forums had a go at my ms 200t... so far so good.

 

Your project sounds like a good one... do you have any pictures to show us exactly the process you followed.

I don't know if this helps or not .You would need machine work to duplicate this process .

 

The cylinder base is turned down to decrease the piston clearence thus raising the compression .

 

The piston face was turned for a pop up type piston which does two things .First it improves the flow and secondly it keeps the ports in perspective while still maintaining compression .

 

Exhaust port was widdened to around 65 percent of the cylinder bore .The intake was polished and opened up inside widder and towards the bottom of the cylinder internally . The transfers were not touched as they are huge for this model already .

 

The windows in the piston were reworked to improve flow .The muffler has the screen and baffles removed .
