I've just done what you said and no movement on the flywheel side but there's play on the clutch side for sure.

I've done bearings on stihls but never on a husky, I'll see how I get on and report back. Thanks for the advice.

 

 

Just thought I'd give an update, new bearings, oil seals, gaskets and while I was at it a pair of new piston rings and a small end bearing.

Tried it earlier and seems to run fine. Like you said spud, tricky job but I got there in the end.
