Everybody always overlooks Efco!

 

I've fixed and used quite a few, and they're built really well and spares simple to source. The pro models (156/162) are pricey, but the farmer's saws (152/147) are good value.

Makita, Dolmar, Echo, or possibly a used STIHL or Husqvarna.

 

Jonsered is right up there with Husky, as it currently is basically the same thing. :wink:

Actually, come to think of it, the silky is a very serious saw not to be under estimated. i don't own a chainsaw at present and have done a HUGE amount of work just with the Silky. And thats including dealing with an 80ft windblown hornbeam.

....just need a chainsaw to speed up the thicker stuff.
