No I meant I would price parts and check availability with parts. I like to know worst case scenario of price and down time before so when I do exhaust all self help options there is no messing about I get them ordered and book a hire chipper so I can keep working. I suffered quite bad down time with my pto box issue on the mog and cant afford another week wasted splitting logs and cleaning worshop etc etc. Im a professional Lancastrian I prefer to spent brass buttons before real money :)

if the bottom motor oil seals are gone it blows off into the watertight roller compartment so you may not notice until the oil level is low.

Another observation that I have is that the linkage on the control bar is so sensitive that even a tiny bit of play is enough to cause the valve to sit slightly off, on mine this is caused by the a bit of slop on the adjuster...

I sorted the roller issues out before christmas. It was the as Stevie said the roller compartment was blocked up with crud causing drag on the motor. I had a few other gremlins to sort with setting up the spool block but it got sorted and was working great untill!! Slowly it got more and more sluggish then the pump packed up :(

I was thinking about piping the spool upto the mog hydraulics as a put me on till I get the new pump. Do you think the mog will run the rollers ok?
