What's this - on Fagus Sylvatica

Thanks for the confirmation guys, i'll post up pictures of the tree asap, i think it would be advisable to get someone with indemnity insurance to write up a report on this tree.

 

If the tree were to go it'd be a high profile and unpopular move for the area, and i feel would bring negative publicity to my company.

went to check on a very similar situation I have the other day, reduced a very big beech on a high bank near railway and road.

 

she has Pholiota squarossus, and stood up to the recent winds:thumbup1:

 

beech and ash common hosts and seem to cope fairly well, polars on the other hand are a bit of wobbly moment!
