Book Information

Hi all I've joined this forum to ask a question regarding a book my partner is looking to buy for her brother. He's been working for a company cutting trees and landscaping and the like for a good few years and now he's looking to work for himself. The question I'm asking is we've seen a book we think may be suitable called Arboriculture: The care of trees, shrubs and vines in the landscape by Richard Harris. We have seen that this book seems to come from America and were wondering if it was suitable for someone who works in Britain? We didn't know if it concentrated on American tree species and pests or it is a globally relevant book? Any information would be gratefully received. Obviously if you could suggest a relevant title that would help if this book doesn't seem suitable. Thank you

Welcome.

Its a good book, largely applicable to the Uk in many aspects. I think its on its fourth volume now, so earlier editions are fairly cheap. Another good book, similar to Harris' is Bob Watsons Treesource Tree Care Practice which I'd also recommend.

Edit; and its a lot cheaper

x2 those comments:thumbup1:
