Whats the difference between rock climbing rope and tree climbing rope please guys?

Rock climbing ropes are dynamic and designed to take the shock out of a fall

Also they are constructed from nylon rather than polyester like arb ropes. Nylon can't take the heat generated by friction devices like polyester

Rock climbing rope is more elastic and is intended to arrest a fall. Arb rope is intended for use for access and to arrest falls also but is much less stretchy and is called semi static. Ropes for raising and lowering are static and have no give in them at all.
