Foundation Degree or What?

Hi all,

 

So I've got a couple of years experience as a climber, got all my basic tickets and that, and then my hands started to play up. Basically I've managed to totally knacker them!

 

So I've been asking around about what I can do now. Really I'd like to get into tree surveying, maybe a bit of teaching too. My question is what should I do to get there?

 

I'm happy to study a course or 2 and want to get as employable as possible, but do I do an arb foundation degree? A professional tree surveying course? What else is out there and where are the good places to do them?

 

Any help and advice would be great!

where in the country are you? if you are considering foundation degree level stuff then you could also consider the level 4 diploma in arb.

RFS level 2 in arb or the level 2 in arb as it is now.

ISA cert Arb

Level 4 cert in arb (old tech cert)

 

All options to consider before the degree or as well as.

 

I'd do the Lantra PTI as you'll need it to do inspections anyway.
