Taupo's branches.

Old Mill Tree Care

I worked for a couple a few days ago who told me they had just returned from a New Zealand holiday.

Whilst having a picnic under a large tree, a big branch fell off and landed on the lady! Luckily she wasn't hurt.

Apparently it wasn't windy, it just fell for no reason at all. Haha!

They went to the local police station and were dismayed to find the coppers to be uninterested.

At this point I was choking back the laughter.

I almost suggested that it was Taupotreeman's fault and they should call him but thought the humour may be lost on them!

Looks like the Kiwis have the right attitude. When I was in Swindon a few years ago, a similar thing happened with a large shrub which shed a branch for no apparent reason. It narrowly missed a small child.

The local rag went ballistic with no concern over just what would be involved if the local council actually checked every branch of every tree and shrub with the vigour they were demanding.
