Was hoping someone would have advice on wiring a logosol sauno kiln.

I know it requires a 20amp breaker and 2.5 cable will surfice but the question is on the bi-pole set up and if the 2.5 cable with be ok on a run of 40'

I know this is vague but any advice would be great ,besides get a qualified

Many thanks

Hope this is what your on about

For a long run like that I would use 3 core 2.5 armored cable especially if outside as the normal 2.5 cable you will get problems with it tripping out after a while. I assume the 40' is the distance to the fuse board?

Hi ,

Thanks for your reply ,was out for a while only back on.

Yes 40' is from auxillary board which has a 10 square supply and have ducting in was going to use 3 core nymj cable 2.5 .

So was not sure if distance was too far and also it seems to require 2 by 10amp supplies was wondering can i run a 20amp supply and cross both terminals hope this makes some sence

I would of thought it would overheat as it will still be 20amp, would there be anyway of running a cable from fuse board to another smaller fuse board 40' away. Then having x2 10amp fuses coming from that into your kiln. I'm sure you can get waterproof fuse boards or box if outside.

My workshop is on a 32amp fuse at my home , which leads to a box in the workshop which has a 16amp and a 6amp fuse for sockets and lights.

if u run armoured cable xple they run at 70/90 degrees temp so 2.5 would be ok depending on how its fastened if it runs through lots of insulation you would need bigger because it de rates the cable by a lot.
