The Opportunity *

 

TEP is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Arboricultural Team, working as part of an award-winning environmental consultancy. * We are currently offering opportunities for the following post; *

 

Arboricultural Surveyor (Warrington, initial 12 month term contract) *

 

Successful candidates will become part of our 14-strong team of arboricultural experts. *Our clients include national house builders, utility companies, architects, government agencies and private organisations. *Within your role you will be involved in the full range development related reporting, tree risk inspection and contractor management with the opportunity to work alongside our in-house Ecology, Landscape Design, and Environmental Planning teams. * We would be happy to accept applications from recent graduates with 1 or 2 years' experience. *Training and support will be provided in all aspects of arboricultural consultancy to utilise and build-upon academic studies. *

TEP is a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy employing environmental planners, landscape architects, urban designers, landscape managers, ecologists and arboriculturists working on a wide-ranging project portfolio. * TEP is based in Warrington, Milton Keynes and Gateshead where it is run by three directors and employs over 107 professionals. *We are all passionate about creating quality places for the benefit of people, nature and business.

 

*Person Specification *

 

Applicants should have a thorough knowledge of tree pests and diseases and be competent in tree identification, inspection and management. *Previous experience in the use of computerised tree inventory systems, ArborCAD and GIS is desirable but not essential.**An understanding of BS 5837:2012, Tree Preservation Orders and the planning system are essential but we will take into consideration when assessing individual knowledge and ability. * Applicants should hold the equivalent to an FdSc or higher in Arboriculture or related discipline. * Salary is negotiable and will be based on experience. *If you would like to apply please visit our website at www.tep.uk.com/job-vacancies.html[\url]*to download an application form. * *
