Greenmech 15-23 - Anyone modified the top roller spring?

Having replaced the spring on the top roller if my 15-23, it still doesn't seem to apply enough pressure to grip the branch - this is proved by standing on the feed roller mounting plate, which then gladly pulls the wood.

I am going to give the rollers a sharpen, but they are no were near blunt.

Anyone else had this problem or carried out any mods to rectify it?

Cheers

Si

Did you put the second spring on?

No

It was already on it when i bought it second hand.

I tried it with one and it was crap.

I'm not sure which one is the original, one is really weak but the other is a beast, they do get interlocked though so not sure if this causes a problem with the rollers not closing together.

We had this problem when we first got ours, a number of washers to adjust the height of the swinging arm attached to the hyrdaulic motor solved it. Worth checking if the hydraulic pump belt is tight and in good condition, and perhaps also the spline on the motor itself is ok (I hope it is for your sake as they are expensive!)
