In the past I had my Lowas resoled as the uppers were still great and the very comfortable.

The soles of my Airsteams is bordering on the edge of a road traffic offence....

Has anyone had them redone?

Cheers

You can get them done as long as the grey is in tact. Apparently it is a different compound that cannot be repaired.

A place local to me does it. A couple of guys had their Haix done but when I tried to get my first pair of airstreams done I had left it too long and that was the reason for not being able to do them.

I have had 3 pairs of them now and each has last about 2 years so I am not complaining.

Cheers Rich,

Do you know the name of the company?

I have had mine a year and the uppers are still good. I suppose it really depends on price.

They are a great boot, so I will get another pair regardless, just be a shame to launch a pair that still have life in them!

I was told that at a traditional cobblers.

My mates had their Haix done at a saddlers and leatherworker nr Orpington. Cost about 45 quid I think. Most of that was for the Vibram sole though.

Mine are still fine (9months) but have taken mine down to local cobblers. They said it could be done but would have to go to their main branch turn around 3days at £45 👍 so ill be using them soon. Have you tried your local cobblers?

Not yet, but I will. When I had my Lowas done I had to send them away, so I thought the Meindls would be the same.

That said, it was a few years ago I had them done. The local cobblers have probably now tapped into that market!
