Hi

I am looking for some firewood to split and stack for next year. A mix of hard and softwood is not a problem.

My previous supplier has changed profession and is not a tree surgeon anymore. He would deliver a tree trunk cut into 10inch rings and any limbs that escaped the chipper. Happy to pay sensible prices.

Thanks

Moulton, Northamptonshire

At this time of year everything is being cut for sale, suggest that in April May time timber would be more readily available.

Suggest you contact the local arb boys and see what may be available but a lot of them either do logs themselves or sell their timber to others that do logs.

Might be a better bet to consider ready cut and dried logs, there are a few of us that cover Moulton including me, all mine are cut at 240mm and 200mm.

Hi Alycidon

Thanks for your reply and advice. I will try the local lads.

I am looking for repeat business, not just a one off purchase.

My previous supplier found it convenient for both parties if he was running late and didn't fancy unloading the truck at his yrad. Stick them on my drive. He gets some cash - I get some rings.

regards
